Bajaj Launches its 'Adventure Sports' line-up. Reveals Pulsar AS200 and AS150 main specs, features and price.

Looks like the chaps at Bajaj Auto have sworn of raining the market with their products off late. While the new RS200 is still keeping people busy gawking wide-eyed on it, the automaker has already put forward another potential crowd-puller in front of us. Today, they have launched another line-up into their products, calling it Adventure Sports. The new line-up, as the name itself suggests, is to comprise sports touring and probably off-roading focused motorcycles. As of now, they have placed two if their much anticipated new products in the line-up, namely Pulsar AS200 and PulsarAS150. These motorcycles are essentially great options for touring enthusiasts who have always felt neglected in the crazy-for-faired-machines kind of market we have here.

The Bajaj Pulsar AS200 is powered by a 199.5cc single-cylinder triple-spark 4-valve liquid-cooled engine that makes 24bhp of power at 9,500rpm and has peak torque of 18.6Nm while the tacho needle hits 8,000rpm.Mated with a 6-speed transmission, the motor is plonked on a perimeter frame which is shared by the existing 200NS and RS200. The half fairing, an elongated windscrean and a projector headlamp makes the bike a good tool for touring. The machine is priced at INR 91550 ex-showroom, Delhi.

Whereas, the smaller sibling, Bajaj Pulsar AS150 is based on the same platform and is powered by a 149.5cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine instead of liquid cooling. Also, this smaller motor has twin-spark for the duty of igniting the fuel inside. The AS150 boasts a power output of 17PS that is highest in its segment, Bajaj claims. The torque figures read as 13Nm @ 7,500rpm. This bike also sports a perimeter frame, which is again a welcome change in the 150cc Pulsars. It comes at an ex-showroom price of INR 79,000.
